COLUMBIA — A man was arrested in connection with the Boone County National Bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon on Paris Road.

Donald D. Clark Jr., 49, was arrested at 2:46 p.m. in the area of Old 63 and Ammonette Street. According to a news release from Columbia Police Department, details about the arrest were delayed because of the police investigation and scene preservation.

Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said the suspect was located quickly by police officers and was recognized based on witness descriptions.

Charges are pending, but Clark is also thought to be responsible for the Landmark Bank robbery at 10 N. Garth Ave. on Thursday, according to the release.
