Alfredo Mubarah's birthday party benefited the Missouri Contemporary Ballet, Boys and Girls Town of Missouri and the Voluntary Action Center.

Alfredo Mubarah wanted to use his birthday party to benefit the local organizations that he works with. He shared the pictures taken on his camera from the party.

I was the one who organized the benefit to celebrate my birthday at 10 Below, benefiting the Missouri Contemporary Ballet, Boys and Girls Town of Missouri and the Voluntary Action Center. I had been wanting to have a white party for a while, and my birthday seemed like the perfect opportunity. I also work closely with those organizations, and I wanted to use my birthday as an opportunity to help them raise money.

This story is part of a section of the Missourian called From Readers, which is dedicated to your voices and your stories. We hope you'll consider sharing. Here's how.
