Fred Cervinka, 87, of Ashland, Mo., passed away February 29, 2012, at his home in the company of his wife, daughter and grandson.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m., March 10, at Olivet Christian Church with a memorial funeral service at 10 a.m.
Fred was the loving husband of Mary Riggs Cervinka, who survives. He also leaves behind his son, Mitchell Cervinka and wife Darlene of Stillville, Kan.; his daughter, Carolyn Richardson and husband David of Kamuela, Hawaii; as well as his sister, Marie Ingram of Scotia, Neb.; his grandchildren, Erik Blessman, Christy Connor and April Cervinka; and his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Clark.
He was born in Farmington, Mo., in 1924. He graduated from the University of Missouri in Poultry Husbandry and established and owned Heart of Missouri Poultry Farm and Enterprises.
He was a long time member of Olivet Christian Church, serving on the church board for several years.
