Pingeton granted contract extension

COLUMBIA — The MU Athletics Department has presented a one-year contract extension for head women's basketball Coach Robin Pingeton.
Pingeton started as the women's basketball team head coach in 2010, with a contract that ran through April 8, 2016. The extension will keep Pingeton on the Missouri sidelines through 2017.
Missouri is 2-15 in Big 12 play this season and 12-16 overall. Missouri was 13-18 last year. The Tigers finish the regular season at Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. Saturday before traveling to Kansas City to compete in the 2012 Big 12 Championship from March 7 to 10.
