COLUMBIA — The Tigers' wrestling team won its first ever Big 12 Conference championship at Hearnes Center on Saturday.
Four Missouri wrestlers won individual titles: Alan Waters (125 pounds), Drake Houdashelt (157), Zach Toal (165) and Mike Larson (184).
Oklahoma State senior Cayle Byers wrestles against Missouri junior Brent Haynes for first in the 197-pound weight class for the Big 12 Wrestling Championships on Saturday.
University of Oklahoma sophomore Kedric Maple and Oklahoma State sophomore Josh Kindig go head to head in the 141-pound weight class in the Big 12 Wrestling Championship on Saturday. The two competed for first, and Maple took the title.

Missouri sophomore Zach Toal wrestles Andrew Sorenson, an Iowa State University redshirt senior for first in the 165 lb. weight class at the Big 12 Wrestling Championships on Saturday. Though Sorenson was ranked No. 1, Toal came out on top and defeated the favored athlete.
Matt Gibson, a redshirt junior from Iowa State University, attempts to pin opponent Austin Marsden, a freshmen from Oklahoma State, during a match in the heavyweight category of the Big 12 Wrestling Championships at Hearnes Center on Saturday. Gibson's win against Marsden sealed Missouri's win as Big 12 Conference champions for the first time.
