Monday, March 5, 2012 | 5:03 p.m. CST

COLUMBIA — City Manager Mike Matthes will announce the results of an independent consultant's organizational review of the Columbia Police Department at 9 a.m.

Second Ward City Councilman Jason Thornhill recommended the review after the Columbia Police Officers Association and the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police claimed that "morale in the Columbia Police Department is at an all-time low" following the dismissal of Rob Sanders by Police Chief Ken Burton.

Matthes will present the consultant's findings and recommendations in conference room 1A/B of the Daniel Boone City Building.
