Do you know the history of the Big 12 men's basketball tournament?

Tuesday, March 6, 2012 | 5:24 p.m. CST

COLUMBIA — The conference tournaments in men's basketball have started, and they will be played all the way up until the Sunday selection show for the NCAA tournament. Every conference — except for the Ivy League — holds a tournament, and the winner automatically qualifies for the NCAA tournament.

The Big 12 tournament will look a bit different this year. First, due to the departures of Colorado and Nebraska, there are only 10 teams in the tournament. Second, this will be the only year that all of the current conference members will be participating. Texas A&M and Missouri will be departing for the Southeastern Conference and will be replaced by West Virginia and Texas Christian University.

The Big 12 tournament begins Wednesday and will end Saturday. The tournament will be aired on the Big 12 Network and the ESPN networks. Missouri will play the winner of Wednesday's Texas Tech-Okahoma State game. The Tigers will play at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Sprint Center.

Hello, Thanks for taking the quiz. Just a reminder you can see the correct answers after you submit it, and if you want you can see how others answered.

So far there have been 132 respondents, and it looks like Questions 5 and 7 have been the trickiest. Did any questions stick out to you? Do you still have any questions about the history of the Big 12 tournament?
