Columbia College men's and women's basketball teams get NAIA tournament berths

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College men's and women's basketball teams learned their first-round opponents in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics tournaments when the brackets were released Wednesday.
The men's team, which won the American Midwest Conference tournament on Tuesday, will face Montana State University-Northern at 8:45 p.m. March 14 in Kansas City. The Cougars men are currently ranked No. 15 in the NAIA.
The women's team, which was ranked No. 23 in the final poll released Wednesday, received an at-large bid after losing in the American Midwest Conference final. It will face Langston University at 4:30 p.m. March 15 in Frankfort, Ky.
