Irene Leona Nolin, March 24, 1938 — March 14, 2012, of Columbia

Irene Leona Nolin, 73 of Columbia passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Boone Hospital Center. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with visitation from 9:30 until 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be held at 10 am Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Pilot Grove.

Irene was born March 24, 1938 in Lowell, MA to Walter L. and Gertrude Cote Nolin. She married Charlie Schuster on October 11, 1980 in Columbia.

Irene enjoyed camping, puzzles, traveling, reading, collecting hummingbird decorations and spending time with her grandchildren and her pets.  Irene was a skilled card and Scrabble player. She was a member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary #1529, who will serve as her honorary pallbearers.

Survivors include: her husband, Charlie of Columbia; two sons, Marc Poulin and wife Margaret of St. Louis and Laurent Poulin and wife Terri of Columbia; four daughters, Michelle Poulin of Wilmington, Delaware; Colette Nolin of Columbia, Celenne Beck of Humble, Texas and Nicole Poulin of San Leandro CA; two brothers, David Nolin and Robert Nolin; a stepson, Chris Schuster and wife Melanie of Pacific, MO and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter and infant grandson.

Memorials may be given to Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
