Pro-Occupy graffiti vandalizes sites around St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — Several sites around St. Louis have been spray-painted with anti-police or pro-Occupy movement graffiti, days after the end of the Occupy the Midwest conference in the city.

Members of the Occupy movement said the vandalism was not official action by the group. However, the graffiti follows an angry confrontation Thursday night in which more than a dozen Occupy protesters were arrested for curfew violation while trying to camp at Compton Hill Reservoir Park.

Someone spray-painted "The city has blood on their hands!" on a building at the park Tuesday. Another message read "Cops, Pigs, Murderers." The home of city public safety director Eddie Roth was also vandalized with the words "Blood on your hands" spray-painted on the front steps.
