Missouri gymnasts finish second in Big 12 championships

NORMAN, Okla. — Missouri finished in a tie for second place in the Big 12 Championships, senior Mary Burke was named Big 12 gymnast of the year, and Rachel Updike was named Big 12 newcomer of the year.

Katelyn Trevino earned her first floor title this season to become the Big 12 Floor Champion.

Oklahoma took the Championship title with a 197.475 score, while the Tigers and the Iowa State Cyclones scored 196.025 scores. This is the first second-place finish at the Big 12 Championships for the Tigers. The last time Missouri earned a second-place finish at a conference tournament was in 1990, when Missouri was a part of the Big Eight.
