Missouri diver second in platform diving at NCAA meet

Missouri sophomore diver David Bonuchi placed second on the platform diving competition at the NCAA Championships to cap off the most successful championships for a Tigers diver. The second-place finish is the best ever for a male diver and earned Bonuchi his third All-America honor of the championships and fifth overall.

In addition to the platform diving finish, Bonuchi was fourth in the 3-meter event and sixth on the 1-meter event at the three-day event.

The Tigers finished in 19th place overall with 46 points.

Bonuchi scored 402.70 points in the afternoon preliminary session, entering the finals competition in sixth place. In the night session, the sophomore scored 456.00 points to take national runner-up honors.
