Missouri men's golfers win C&F Bank Intercollegiate tournament

The Missouri men's golf team won the 29-team C&F Bank Intercollegiate tournament Tuesday in Williamsburg, Va.

The Tigers led throughout the three-day, 54-hole event at the Kingsmill Resort River Course, scoring a 870 to hold off UNC Greensboro and Old Dominion, which tied for second at 872.

Junior Jace Long led the Tigers with an even-par 213 that tied him for second place with Francis Marion's Sebastian Backlund. Long began the tournament with a 4-under 67 in the first round. Winthrop' Kamito Hirai won at 211, after shooting a 69 in the final round. 

Missouri's Emilio Cuartero was fourth at 215, including a first-round 66, and teammate Ryan Zech finished in a three-way tie for fifth at 216.
