Columbia College sweeps doubleheader at Hannibal-LaGrange

The Columbia College softball team swept a doubleheader Monday at Hannibal-LaGrange, beating the Trojans 9-0 in five innings and 9-1 in six innings to improve to 13-13 overall and 2-2 in American Midwest Conference play.

Jordan Crisp (7-7) threw a no-hitter in Game 1, striking out nine and walking none. Taylor Richter (6-4) allowed two hits and one walk while striking out five in Game 2.

Marli Hayes was 5-for-6 over the two games for the Cougars, with five runs scored, five RBIs, a triple and two home runs. Tori Gehlert was 4-for-7 with three runs and four RBIs.  

The Cougars are set to play next at 2 p.m. Tuesday in a doubleheader at Lindenwood in St. Charles.
