Missouri ace Chelsea Thomas dominated competition again this past week, earning her a tenth Big 12 Pitcher of the Week award.

The award makes her only the second pitcher in the league to win the award 10 or more times.

Thomas, a junior, struck out 11 batters in just 13 outs (4 1/3 innings) against Evansville on Wednesday and then seven in five scoreless innings against Baylor on Friday. Thomas continued her impressive week by tossing a complete game shutout on Sunday, striking out 10 Baylor hitters along the way.

Thomas is 14-3 this season with an earned run average of 0.58, the second-lowest in the nation. Her 134 strikeouts in 96 innings pitched has helped her to a 2.7 hits per seven innings average, the lowest in all of Division I softball.

Missouri faces No. 3 Texas this weekend in Austin.
