The Columbia College softball team swept Lindenwood on Tuesday, pushing the team's win streak up to six games.
Wild pitching and infield singles helped the Cougars put together a 4-0 lead in game one, with three runs and a Karina Veit triple in the seventh inning topping off a 7-0 victory. Jordan Crisp (8-7) earned the win after throwing seven shutout innings, giving up just three hits and striking out seven Lindenwood hitters.
A huge third inning for the Cougars in the second game provided six runs, enough support for Taylor Richter (7-4) to toss a win. Whitni Howell had four hits in four at-bats, resulting in one run and two RBIs for Columbia College in game two.
The Cougars host William Woods at 2 p.m. Friday at Antimi Black Field located in Columbia's Cosmopolitan Park.
