Sharion Louise Shern enjoyed animals and farming

COLUMBIA — Sharion Louise Shern, 77, of Clark, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

She was born Oct. 27, 1934, to Oscar and Audrey (Crane) Niles in Columbia.

She married Charles Shern in Columbia on July 20, 1962.

After 39 years of working as a dedicated hospital administrator at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, she retired and became a bus driver for the Harrisburg School District.

She enjoyed farming and animals — especially her dog, Sassy.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Robinson, of Columbia; her two brothers, Kenney Niles and his wife, Virginia, of Hartsburg, and Raymond Niles and his wife, Mazey, of Columbia; her sister Shirley Hague, of Columbia; two grandchildren, Jennifer Robinson and her husband, Jody, and Billy Robinson and his wife, Amy, all of Clark; five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Robinson, Garrett Robinson, Wyatt Robinson, Rylee Robinson and Izik Butts, all of Clark.

Her husband, Charles Shern, her parents and one infant son died earlier.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will follow at the funeral home. Internment will follow the service at Bethlehem Cemetery located near Harrisburg off Route E.
