Friday, April 6, 2012 | 10:42 p.m. CDT

The Missouri Tigers softball team beat the Texas Longhorns 11-4 on Friday night.

The game was tied 4-4 in to the top of the seventh when junior Lindsey Muller hit a double to right center that drove in freshman Ashtin Stephens. This was the beginning of a seven-run seventh inning that included freshman Corrin Genovese’s three-run home run off Texas pitcher Rachel Fox.

Tiger pitcher Chelsea Thomas earned her 14th win of the season, pitching a complete game and striking out 12 batters.

The Tigers will finish its series with Texas when they play Saturday at noon at Red and Charline McCombs Field in Texas.
