COLUMBIA — Michael Trapp and Barbara Hoppe will take their oaths of office as Columbia City Council members a week later than originally scheduled.
They will be sworn into their new terms during a special council meeting at 6 p.m. April 16* in the council chambers at the Daniel Boone City Building, 701 E. Broadway. A representative of the city clerk's office said the meeting was delayed a week.
Trapp and Hoppe were elected to three-year terms on April 3. Trapp will become the newest council member, replacing Second Ward Councilman Jason Thornhill, who did not seek re-election after serving one term.
Hoppe will be entering her third term as Sixth Ward councilwoman.
