COLUMBIA — Tim Hanson, 30, is "on fire."

A few years ago, he stopped working at Bleu Restaurant and Wine Bar to do what he loves: make music. Known as "Heez on Fire," a stage name stemming from his high-school days, Hanson records and manages local artists out of his three-bedroom house. Heezer’s Palace Studios is built in one of the spare bedrooms, and a closet serves as the recording booth.

Hanson now works 12- to 14-hour workdays and has 10 to 15 recording sessions a week. He works with various artists including The Cold Cuts, Steddy P, DJ Mahf, DJ P-Caso, Dallas, Stevie Stone, Sadat X, Craig G, Alpaca and others, and started his own management company called Syndicate Artist Management.
