Hartsburg woman wins $100,000 lottery prize

COLUMBIA — When a Hartsburg woman purchased a few lottery tickets on her birthday Wednesday, she had no idea she’d be getting a six-figure present.

Lori Lammers, 43, who buys lottery tickets every so often, suggested that her mother stop at the Beeline Snack Shop on Mount Pleasant Road in Hartsburg to buy tickets. She purchased two tickets for $10 each.

“I won $15 on one and $100,000 on the other,” Lammers said. “When I was scratching it off, I was in the car with my mom and I started screaming and said ‘I think you better pull off.’”

As of now, Lammers doesn’t have plans for her winnings.

“I’ll probably put it in the bank and keep it there and just see what happens,” she said.

Susan Goedde, spokeswoman for the Missouri Lottery, said the odds of winning $100,000 on a $1 million payout scratcher ticket are 1 in 300,000.
