COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys tennis team played the Columbia Duals a day early to beat Friday’s rain.

The Bruins extended their home win streak to 69 by winning both of the day’s matches. Rock Bridge defeated Cape Central High School in the morning 9-0, and Joplin in the afternoon 8-1 on Thursday, coach Ben Loeb said.

Rock Bridge tried to use Friday for an unscheduled game against Edwardsville, but the rain caused the match to be rescheduled. The Bruins will try to play Edwardsville again May 1.

Rock Bridge will play its next at home against Glendale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at Bethel Park before the Mid-Missouri Tennis Tournament in Columbia next weekend.
