A picture of Rashonda, middle, when she was maid of honor in Diana Rickard's sister's wedding.

Diana Rickard is a friend of Rashonda "Shonda" Stanley, one of 14 students being commemorated today at MU Remembers, a ceremony remembering MU students who died in the past 12 months. She shared these photos with the Missourian.

Below are a couple pictures of Shonda (middle) when she was maid of honor in my sister’s wedding. Live, laugh, love was her motto, and she’d grace anyone she met with a huge belly laugh, at any time, and for any reason.  Shonda was family, and she is deeply missed by many.

If you know Rashonda or any of the other students being commemorated at MU Remembers, we invite you to share memories of them with the rest of the community, in the Missourian's From Readers section. Email them to
