Margaret Mary Walloch Jarvis was granted angel wings on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.

She was born August 31, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, to George and Augusta (Huzeinga) Walloch.

In 1948, she graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Commercial High School and worked as a secretary up until her marriage to Dr. Dean L. Jarvis on February 14, 1953.

Her parents, brother and husband preceded her in death.

The loving family she has left behind includes her 3 daughters, Joan Barnes, Sharon (David) Brunda and Susan (Steven) Hughes. Grandchildren include Jessica (Luke) Hudson, Justin (Ashley) Barnes, Nicholas (Courtney) Brunda, Christopher, Mitchell and Rory Hughes. Great-grandchildren include Taylor and Dalton Brunda and Tyler Hudson.

Margaret enjoyed gardening, reading and playing piano.

She was a practical, no-nonsense woman.  Her employment as office manager for Barzell Apartments spanned 41 years. She worked her last day the week before she died.

Margaret was hard-working and loyal to her family; but her best quality was her sense of humor. It was witty, spontaneous, playful and silly.

She died the way she lived, organized and calm.

Margaret Mary Walloch Jarvis lived a life filled with faith, humor and hope. She often said that no matter how old she was, she still felt like a teenager on the inside.

Peace to you, Mommy.

Now it is time for you to kick back, smoke some weed and lay on the beach of your heaven, where you are forever 16.

Donations of time, money or prayer can be made to the Rainbow House.
