Rock Bridge golf places second at Laker Invitational

Rock Bridge varsity golfer Austin Evans practices a chip shot on Wednesday at the Country Club of Missouri. Evans and teammate Will Echelmeier placed in the top 15 at the district golf tournament in Lebanon.

The Rock Bridge boys golf team finished five strokes behind first place Rockhurst to take home the second place trophy at the Laker Invitational at Old Kinderhook Golf Resort at Lake of the Ozarks.

Bruins senior Austin Evans shot a three-under par 68 to take home the first place trophy as an individual. 

Rock Bridge's next match is against Tolton Catholic at 4 p.m. Thursday at L.A. Nickell Golf Course in Columbia.
