Janel Twehous is Rock Bridge High School's softball head coach.

The Missouri High School 2011-12 Academic All-State was recently announced. Congratulations to the "Rock Bridge Softball TEAM" for making the Missouri State Fast Pitch Softball Coaches Association's "Academic All-State Squad" with a 3.615 cumulative GPA for the varsity roster.

Congratulations to the following individual players for receiving Academic All-State Awards:

First Team Academic All State:

  • Lauren Fuller
  • Conner Logsdon

Second Team Academic All State:

  • Taylor Dillard
  • Kelsey Nietzel
  • Whitney Wipfler

The Missouri State Fast-Pitch Softball Coaches Association recognizes student athletes and teams for their academic success in the classroom by awarding an Academic All-State award to both teams and/or individual student athletes.  For student-athletes to be eligible for the awards, the team's high school coach must be a member of the organization (MHSFCA).

A team is awarded the distinction of an Academic All-State squad if all players on the varsity team have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.

An individual athlete qualifies for the Academic All-State 1st team if they have a cumulative GPA after the fall semester of 3.88-4.0. An individual athlete qualifies for the 2nd team if they have a cumulative GPA at the end of the fall semester of 3.75-3.87.
