The Missouri State Fast-Pitch Softball Coaches Association recognizes student athletes and teams for their academic success in the classroom by awarding an Academic All-State award to both teams and/or individual student athletes. For student-athletes to be eligible for the awards, the team's high school coach must be a member of the organization (MHSFCA).
A team is awarded the distinction of an Academic All-State squad if all players on the varsity team have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
An individual athlete qualifies for the Academic All-State 1st team if they have a cumulative GPA after the fall semester of 3.88-4.0. An individual athlete qualifies for the 2nd team if they have a cumulative GPA at the end of the fall semester of 3.75-3.87.
