Rock Bridge wins Mid Missouri Tennis Tournament

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys tennis team won the Mid Missouri Tennis Tournament on Saturday at Cosmo-Bethel Park. 

Eight teams participated in the two-day tournament held in Columbia, including Rock Bridge and Hickman. 

After dominating the first two rounds on Friday, Rock Bridge continued the trend and received the first-place trophy after sweeping Lafayette in the finals, 9-0.

The Bruins remain undefeated this season and will play next against Park Hill at 2 p.m.  Wednesday at Cosmo-Bethel.

Hickman split its first two matches at Cosmopolitan Park on Friday. But the Kewpies lost the fifth-place match against Blue Springs South on Saturday, 8-1. 

The Kewpies play next at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Jefferson City in a match to determine home court advantage in the district tournament.
