The cadets of the University of Missouri Reserve Officers’ Training Corps marked the end of the academic year with the Tiger Battalion’s first “Dining Out” banquet.
“Dining Out” is a traditional Army formal dinner for officers, cadets and guests. Saturday’s dinner was a prelude to the end-of-term commissioning of 18 cadets as Second Lieutenants. It featured a speech by Col. Roderick Cox, director of the Combat Studies Institute and a Missouri alum, and a performance by the Pershing Rifles drill team.
The MU Navy and Air Force ROTC units will hold similar formal banquets later this month.
