Ryan Lee Lewis will be remembered for easy, open smile

Ryan Lee Lewis had an intense love for his children and an extraordinary loyalty to his family and friends. He had a close relationship with his nieces and nephews.

Ryan Lewis of Ashland died Sunday, April 22, 2012, following an automobile accident. He was 34.

He was born Dec. 11, 1977, to Raymond L. and Rosemary Buckner Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was a hard worker as the frozen food manager at the Hy-Vee on Conley Road, where he loved his job and co-workers. He will be remembered for his easy, open smile and his ability to make anyone laugh. 

He is survived by his four children, Savannah Koren, Rayden Lee, Raylea Nichole and McKinley Jo; his fiancée, Amy Beth Lee; two sisters, Rose Marie Lewis-Cole and her husband, Terry, and Raymona Lee Buddemeyer and her husband, Karl; and his brother Jeremy Michael Traxler. 

Mr. Lewis, who was a wonderful great-uncle, is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of his life will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at 5000 East Liberty Lane in Ashland. 

Instead of flowers, cards or food, the family has requested donations be sent to the Ryan Lewis Children's Memorial Fund c/o Boone County National Bank. Donations can be made at any bank location.
