Eloise Brickner loved babysitting her grandchildren

COLUMBIA — Eloise Brickner enjoyed shopping with her daughter, going on walks with her friends and babysitting her grandchildren.

"We just enjoyed doing things mothers and daughters enjoy doing," Nancy Stine, her daughter, said.

Eloise Brickner of Columbia died Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She was 85.

She was born March 13, 1927, in Kansas, to Earl and Zadah (Nelson) Lindsey.

She married Arthur V. Brickner on Sept. 4, 1947, in Boonville.

Mrs. Brickner was a member of Missouri United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Brickner is survived by her daughter, Nancy Stine and her husband, Andy, of Wildwood; a granddaughter, Megan; and a grandson, Drew.

Her husband, Arthur Brickner, and a sister, Earlene Biesemeyer, died earlier.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will follow at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
