Shots fired on Brown Station Road late Thursday

COLUMBIA — One shell casing was found inside a north Columbia home Thursday night during an investigation of shots fired on Brown Station Road.

Police responded to a call at 10:47 p.m. that four shots had been fired, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

When officers arrived, they discovered a house on Shingo Court had been hit by one of the bullets. The residents were present but uninjured, the release stated.

Several other shell casings were found on Brown Station Road, the release stated.

Police have no suspects at this time.

If a shell casing was found in the house that means someone was inside shooting out.
