Missouri softball beats Iowa State 9-0

The No. 10 Missouri softball team defeated the Iowa State Cyclones 9-0 in five innings Friday in Ames, Iowa.

Ashley Flemming, Kelsea Roth and Nicole Hudson hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the second inning, the first time the Tigers have accomplished that feat since March 18, 2007, against Western Illinois. 

Chelsea Thomas pitched the first four innings for the Tigers, recording 11 of her 12 outs by strikeouts.  

With the victory the Tigers move to 35-10 overall and 12-7 in Big 12 play. The Tigers will wrap up the series against Iowa State with games on Saturday and Sunday. The first pitch at 2 p.m. Saturday.
