Missouri men's and women's golf finish day one at Big 12 Championship

The Missouri men's and women's golf team both finished up day one action in the Big 12 Championship on Friday. 

The women's golf team, competing in Lawrence, Kan., finished the first round tied for sixth place. 

Sophomore Taylor Gohn and senior Marissa Cook lead the Tigers, finishing day one tied for 15th in the tournament. 

Second-round action will begin for the Tigers at 9:20 a.m Saturday.

The men's golf team, who are competing in Trinity, Texas, finished the first day tied for eighth place. The Tigers played two rounds, finishing with 312-301 strokes as a team respectively. 

Senior Nick Wilson is currently the highest-ranked Tiger and is in sole possession of 13th place. 

The third round of the tournament will start at 8 a.m. Saturday.
