Columbia College split a doubleheader today in the semifinal round of the American Midwest Conference tournament.

The Cougars (27-18) upset top-seeded Williams Baptist 1-0 in game one behind pitcher Jordan Crisp, who allowed just two hits and four walks in the shutout. The team scored its lone run in the fifth inning after a hard-hit grounder bounced off the first baseman's foot with two outs in the inning.

Columbia College fell short of the sweep after having only one hit in a 2-1 Game 2 loss.

The split means the team will face Williams Baptist again in a deciding Game 3 at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
