COLUMBIA — Columbia police are conducting an investigation after a 34-year-old woman was found at 4:30 p.m. on April 26 near the intersection of Range Line Street and Big Bear Boulevard. The woman, covered in blood and wearing only a shirt and undergarments, was taken to a local hospital.

Police don't know whether the woman was the victim of a crime because they have not been able to get a statement from her, said Columbia Police Department Public Information Officer Stephanie Drouin.

The woman has been identified and is from Columbia, though the police department is not releasing any further information at this time, Drouin said.
