Hickman track members advance at district championship

The Hickman High School track team had members advance at the district championships Saturday in Jefferson City.

Nicole Mello set a school record in the 3,200 meter dash with a time of 10 minutes, 59 seconds, finishing first at the meet. She also won the 1,600 with a time of 5:04. 

Corey Potter placed second in the 300 meter low hurdles and teamed with Hannah Corbin, Tiana Schimming and Makayla Logan to finish second in the 4x400 meter relay. In the 100 meter dash, Kiona Hughes finished fourth.

On the boys team, Devin Sander finished fourth in the 1,600 meter dash. 

These individuals will compete at the sectional meet next Saturday in West Plains.
