This photo of the Hickman Lacrosse Club, taken when the players beat rival Rock Bridge in the Golden Crosse game in May 2012, was shared by a community member.

Ann Fieser is the communications chair for the Hickman Lacrosse Club. She has shared previous reports about the club here and here. The Missourian welcomes reports and stories about sporting events as part of its From Readers section.

In the traditional varsity game between cross-town rivals, Hickman Boys lacrosse defeated Rock Bridge 15-3 in the Golden Crosse game on Sunday.

Senior attackman David Nittler scored 7 goals. John Gilmore contributed 3 goals and 1 assist. Connor Harris added 1 goal and 3 assists, and Ivo Berti scored 1 goal.

Junior attackman Powell Yaeger added 3 goals and 2 assists. Senior goalie Aaron Hentges had 8 saves.

Sunday's game was the last game of the season for both teams. Thank you to all the players, parents, coaches, sponsors, donors, boosters, and fans for making this year a success.

Be sure to come out Sunday, June 3, at 4 p.m., for the annual alumni game at the field west of the ARC. HHS lacrosse alumni and coaches from this past season will play against the varsity team. A potluck picnic will be held at the field immediately following the game.

This story is part of a section of the Missourian called From Readers, which is dedicated to your voices and your stories. We hope you'll consider sharing. Here's howSupervising editor is Joy Mayer.
