FROM READERS: Benefit rummage sale for Missouri River Relief

Tuesday, May 15, 2012 | 5:29 p.m. CDT

Sarah Pennington is a volunteer with Missouri River Relief.

I am a volunteer with Missouri River Relief, a local grassroots nonprofit dedicated to connecting communities to the Missouri River through hands-on, on the river cleanups and education. I will be helping the organization host a benefit rummage sale on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2 at 419 Parkade Blvd., Columbia, MO 65202.

There are several ways you can help us with the sale:

  • Do some spring cleaning and donate any usable items for us to sell.
  • Volunteer to help with the sale.
  • Stop by and do some shopping at the sale!
  • And most importantly, pass along this information to your friends!

If you have any usable items you would like to donate, contact me at

This story is part of a section of the Missourian called From Readers, which is dedicated to your voices and your stories. We hope you'll consider sharing. Here's how.
