Ethel L. Todd, Sept. 9, 1932 - May 15, 2012

MARCELINE — Ethel L. Todd, 79, of Marceline, MO, passed away May 15, 2012.

She was born on Sept. 9, 1932, in Hartsburg, MO, to Paul Herman and Frona Violet (Wells) Sims.

Ethel graduated from Hickman High School in 1950 and later worked as a switchboard operator for the phone company. On Aug. 1, 1952, she married the Rev. Joseph Todd, and was a dedicated pastor's wife. Ethel was also a member of Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by her son, David Todd (Susan) of Perry, MO; her daughters, Deborah Roberts (Michael) of Branson, MO, Susan Mansell (Ronald) of Odessa, MO, and Mary Stuart (Matthew) of Queen City, MO; brother, Harold Sims (Fern) of Columbia, MO; sister: Linda Kay Hankins (Dan) of Kansas City, MO; sisters-in-law, Norma Sims of North Carolina, and Priscilla Sims of Washington; grandchildren, Timothy Roberts, Gary Mansell and Joseph Mansell all of Odessa, MO, Amy Stuart and Tommy Stuart of Queen City, MO, Michael Joe Roberts (Lorri) of Rolla, MO, Jonathan Roberts of Branson, MO, Joanna Todd, Joe Ben Todd, and Jesse Todd all of Perry, MO, Linda Eisenlohr (Joseph) of Raytown, MO, and John David Todd (Kristi) of Grimes, IA; great grandchildren, Nicole Roberts of Rolla, MO, Kayla Mansell of Odessa, MO, Adelia and Gracelyn Eisenlohr, both of Raytown, MO, and Katy Todd of Grimes, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers, Paul Jr., and Benjamin.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, as well as Friday, May 18, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Christian Church in Columbia, MO. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery after the service.
