Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic gets second state track and field medal

A day after giving Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic High School its first state track and field medal, freshman Chase Freidel added another Saturday in the Class 1 girls state championships at Lincoln University's Dwight T. Reed Stadium in Jefferson City.

Freidel placed second in the 400-meter run in 1 minute, 0.22 seconds, edged by Alexa Taff of St. Joseph Christian, who won in :59.44.

On Friday, Freidel finished third in the long jump finals at 16-2 1/4.
