The Missouri baseball team won 6-3 on Saturday at Kansas in the final regular season contest between the teams in the Big 12 Conference, giving the Tigers a No. 6 seed in next week's Big 12 tournament.

Junior left-hander Blake Holovach earned the victory in his first start since May. He let up six hits in 4 2/3 innings to improve to 6-4.

Conner Mach's bloop single scored two runs for Missouri in the first inning, then the Tigers went ahead 4-0 in the third when Mach added his third RBI, and Andreas Plackis also hit an RBI single. Mach, Missouri's senior third baseman, was 4-for-5 at the plate in the contest.

After Kansas came back with three runs in the fifth, Missouri scored a run in the sixth when Michael McGraw's single drove in Mach, who had doubled for his third hit of the game. The Tigers scored their final run in the seventh when Eric Garcia singled and scored on a sacrifice fly.

Missouri is set to open play in the Big 12 tournament on Wednesday at RedHawks Field in Oklahoma City, Okla.
