COLUMBIA — Missouri senior pitcher Dusty Ross was named All-Big 12 second team after a season in which he posted a 2.55 ERA in 42 1/3 innings pitched.

Ross worked primarily as a relief pitcher for the Tigers and performed best during Big 12 conference play, where he struck out 13 batters in 12 appearances.

Junior outfielders Dane Opel and Blake Brown, senior catcher Ben Turner and sophomore pitcher Rob Zastryzny were all named honorable mentions by the conference.

Missouri begins play in the Big 12 tournament at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in Oklahoma City. The Tigers will face Texas, who they beat twice during a three-game series earlier this month.
