Rock Bridge boys tennis singles and doubles advance to semifinals

COLUMBIA — After winning the team title Thursday in the state championships, individual play for the Rock Bridge boys tennis team began Friday.

The Rock Bridge singles and doubles teams will advance to the state semifinals after defeating both of their competitors on Friday. 

In singles play, Ford Zitsch defeated Juan Pable Jaramillo from Central High School in the first round 2-0, then beat Robbie Nicolli from Francis Howell North High School to advance to the state semifinals at 9 a.m. Saturday. 

The doubles team of Alex Jones and Jack Fay also advanced to the state semifinals after defeating both Eureka and Rockhurst 2-0.
