UPDATE: FROM READERS: Go Girl Run passes by a reader's house

Runners pass by John Hall's house during the Go Girl Run on Saturday, May 26. At this point, the half marathon runners still had about five miles to go.

John Hall frequently photographs his mid-Missouri surroundings, and he has been sharing his images with the Missourian for several years. See John's photos here, then scroll down to see a video submitted by reader Brad Wilmot, who was on the trail during the race.

On a steamy Saturday morning, a long steady line of ladies ran, walked and panted their way up Chapel Hill Road past my home.  I had enough energy to pick up my camera and take a few photos of people who are a lot tougher than I am. Had someone captured a photo of me it would have been in the crawling position. My hat is off to every one of these ladies and a couple of guys who made the journey.

At this point of the half-marathon the ladies had five more miles to go to complete the course. I mentioned that to a few of them, and luckily no one had a disparaging word in return.  They were all troopers for a great cause.

UPDATE: Reader Brad Wilmot shot a video on the trail during the race, between Scott Boulevard and Forum Boulevard. Can you spot yourself or people you know?
