COLUMBIA — Almost half of the youth involved in the Columbia Swim Club have a sibling on the team. Coach Phil Garverick said that the club is strengthened by the sense of support and friendly competition that an abundance of families creates.

Hanna Flanagan and her teammates take to the pool in the early morning as part of the Columbia Swim Club at the Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center on Wednesday. Hanna along with her sister, Ellie Flanagan, swim with the Columbia Swim Club along with several other sets of siblings.

Levi will be entering Truman College in the fall, so will no longer be taking his brother, Nate, back and forth from swimming practice as much. “[I will miss him] sometimes and not really at other times,” said Nate Hanks.
