Missouri men's golfer Jace Long was named to the Division I PING Midwest All-Region Team on Wednesday.

The junior from Dixon is one of 155 golfers to be named to one of the six all-region teams by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Long finished in 43rd place at the NCAA Regional Championships in the 2011-12 season after finishing in the top 25 at every other tournament he competed in. Long is the seventh Missouri golfer ever to qualify individually for the regional championships.

Long also made the All-Big 12 men's golf team and was named Missouri Golf Association's 2011 Player of the Year after a season with two first place finishes.
