FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Southeastern Conference affirmed its football and basketball scheduling formats and set Missouri as Arkansas' cross-division rival on Friday.
Arkansas is in the SEC West while Missouri is in the East.
The SEC schedules six football games against division schools, one game with a rotating cross-division school and one fixed cross-division foe. Missouri and Arkansas will be fixed opponents.
The league also set it so the schools will play regularly in men's and women's basketball.
Arkansas Athletics Director Jeff Long says fans will be able to easily travel between the Arkansas and Missouri campuses and predicts a rivalry will develop quickly.
