Gary Lee Logan, 60, of Columbia, entered his Eternal Home on May 30, 2012.  Family was present with him at Columbia Manor, where he had resided for two months.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Parker Funeral Service.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Logan was born May 22, 1952 in Columbia to Byron and Pauline Logan.  He was a 1970 graduate of Hickman High School and completed a course in electrical technology at Linn Technical School, Linn, Missouri, in 1972. An illness which began when Gary was a young adult altered the course of his life, but his interest in science, technology and math persisted for many years. Gary was proficient in the guitar, enjoyed music, loved his family and was a serious student of the Bible. His life reflected a deep trust in God in all circumstances.

Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his parents, his aunts and uncles and a first cousin. He is survived by two brothers, Ron and Dearl, and his sister-in-law, Susanne, as well as three nephews, one niece, four greatnieces, one great nephew and numerous friends.

Memorial gifts may be made to Harambee House, where Gary lived for 13 years, or to Hospice Advantage, both of Columbia.
