An updated version of this article has been posted.

Missouri outfielder Blake Brown was drafted in the 5th round of the MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves.

Brown, a junior, was taken with the 179th overall pick. Brown hit .302 with 10 home runs this past season, and was named All-Big 12 honorable mention for the second time.

In 2009, Brown was drafted out of high school in the 48th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates, but elected to play baseball for the Tigers instead of playing professionally.
