COLUMBIA — A third suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection to last month’s Albert-Oakland Park shooting.

Jury Alston, 20, turned himself into the Boone County Jail at 10:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. He was arrested for armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, Officer Stephanie Drouin of the Columbia Police Department said. Alston was also identified as the person who fired the weapon in the shooting, the news release said.

Before turning himself in, Alston was wanted by police in connection with the Memorial Day shooting at Albert-Oakland Park last month, the release said.

Cedric Barnum, 28, and Demetriess Walker, 20, were previously arrested in connection with the shooting.

The total bonds for Alston's charges are set at $100,000.

Supervising editor is Dan Burley.
